GROUP A1: Day 3 Kota Setar



Its Day 3 at Kota Setar,  today we had discussed about  the vector borne disease control especially dengue with the officers from vector department. They have 6 groups of staff  which will be sent to for field survey.  Usually 2 groups will be sent to each location in the morning for survey and fogging will be done in the evening ( 6pm-9pm).
The vector department of Kota  
Setar District Health Office  consist of
-          1 PKA Kanan  who incharge of the group and serve reminder to the residents
-          11 PKA  who has the permission to enter the premises to survey ,trap the vector and take blood slide
-          20 PA fogging 


Case of dengue diagnosed by 
the doctor
 

Notify the DHO with in 24hours
 via phone or enotofication
 

Teams would be sent to
 investigate the patient and 
also the suspected location
 

Survey done in the morning for 
finding the breading are or the 
larvae
 

If the is breading area of larvae compound RM500  would be charged - if resist it would be brought to the court
 

Fogging done in the evening

Oil based - using sumithion or
 malethion which mixed with 
diesel. For outdoor

-When? 2 cases of dengue*
* 2 cases occurred in same residential area within the incubation period or 2 cases occurred within 400m radius within the incubation period( 2 weeeks)
